The application window for Early College High School at Vistas opens January 5th and closes January 27th at 3:00pm. They anticipate selecting 35 students from the total number of applicants and hope to have applicants from intermediate schools across the district.
Students and Families can get to the information a variety of ways:
- You may watch an informational video and receive information in the accelerated pathways section of the P2P website at https://www.promise2purpose.net/high-school-college-pathways and click on Vistas Early College High School.
- You may go to vistas.kleinisd.net and select the Early College HS tab which will take you to the Informational Website.
- You are encouraged to attend one of the Vistas Early College High School informational nights at Vistas High School (12550 Bammel North Houston, Houston, 77066) which will take place at 6:00 pm on January 12th, January 18th and January 24th.
Vistas Early College High School is looking for students who:
§ are comfortable in smaller classes on a smaller campus
§ reside in Klein ISD and meet the requirements to be promoted from 8th grade to 9th grade at the end of the 21/22 school year
§ are willing to start their 9th grade year at Vistas ECHS and continue through all four years until completing both their high school requirements and up to 60 college hours
§ might be the first in their family to attend college, including those who may be traditionally underrepresented in college admissions
§ are looking for ways to attend college at no cost to them
§ are willing to provide the energy and focus that it takes to work on their academics both in high school and college coursework
§ are willing to attend a two-week Summer Bridge Program in June 2022
