On Tuesday night, the 8th Grade Football Team traveled to battle against the Wunderlich Wildcats. In the B-Team game, Kharm McFadden threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Ethan Currie. Caleb Fuentes had a successful extra points kick. Damarion Palmer had several big runs on offense and scored twice with a pair of touchdowns, 27 yards and 35 yards. The stars for the Bulldog Defense were Colton Gordon, Damarrion Palmer, and Michael Corona. The B-team final score was 20 to 0.

The A-Team game was a physical contest from start to finish. The first 3 quarters went back and forth. Led by Caden LeDoux, the Offensive Line played fantastic, opening it up for Lazare to have over 150 yards rushing last night. The Defensive Line was also great last night, with Galvis Watkins and Jose Garcia in the backfield causing disruption all night. On defense, Trace Ulbricht had several great tackles and Isaac Smith had a fumble recovery.

At the start of the fourth quarter with the score still 0 to 0, Trace Ulbricht caught a critical pass throw by Brody Butler, to put the Bulldogs on the goal line. Jonathan Lazare scored the game’s only touchdown on the next play and Marco Padron followed with the extra points kick. On the Wildcat’s last drive, Abraham Diaz had 2 back-to-back tackles to stop Wunderlich from breaking free. And in the final seconds of the game, Jonathan Lazare had a crucial interception to seal the Bulldog victory. Awesome victories for both teams!

Next Tuesday, the 8th grade Bulldogs will travel to face the Kleb Bearcubs.
