High school students in the Child Guidance class use the preschool program as a lab for their class. The high school students (under the supervision of Deborah Murphy) are the teachers in the program. We follow several aspects of the current KISD preschool program. The preschool meets Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from early October through late April. We accept a limited number of 3- and 4-year-olds for this lab depending on the number of high school students enrolled in the course. The preschooler must be completely toilet trained (no pull-ups).
Open registration begins on March 21, 2023. Completing an application does not guarantee a spot in the program. You will be notified by mail or phone in April if your child has been accepted into the program and all others will be put on a wait list. A $100 non-refundable deposit for the 2023-2024 school year is due by April 20, 2023 to hold your child’s spot. The remainder of the tuition ($200.00) is due no later than September 1, 2023. If the tuition is not received by Sept. 1, your spot will be filled from the wait list. Tuition for the 2023-2024 school year is $300.
