High school students in the Child Guidance class use the preschool program as a lab for their class. The high school students (under the supervision of Deborah Murphy) are the teachers in the program. We follow several aspects of the current KISD preschool program.
The preschool meets Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from early October through late April. The preschooler must be completely toilet trained (no pull-ups).
We accept a limited number of 3- and 4-year-olds for this lab depending on the number of high school students enrolled in the course.
- Preschoolers must be 3 or 4 by September 1.
- Three-year-olds turning 4 by Dec. 31 will be given priority acceptance.
- Preschooler acceptance is determined by balancing ages ( 3 vs. 4 yr olds) and genders (boys vs. girls).
- Priority acceptance also goes to returning preschoolers and to families with more than one applicant.
There is a $250.00/year tuition fee. A $50.00 deposit is due by May 1st (to hold your spot). The remainder of the tuition ($200.00) is due no later than September 1. If fees are not received by the deadline, your spot will be automatically offered to a wait list preschooler who fills the needs/qualifications of the lab.
If you are interested in enrolling your preschool child, please complete the Preschool Application linked below and return to: dmurphy@kleinisd.net . Acceptance letters or Wait List letters will be sent out in April. If you have any questions, please email dmurphy@kleinisd.net or call 832-484-4390 (during school hours).
