New Student Laptop Distribution

Klein Cain Family Members,

We hope you have had a wonderful summer.  We are so excited to see all our Hurricanes for the first day of school on August 18! Every student in Klein ISD receives a laptop and they are utilized quite often every day.  Read the section that pertains to your child below for all the details about laptops.  If you have any questions, you may email us or call 832-375-8521.

9th Graders and Newly Enrolled Students

• Laptop Distribution will be at Klein Cain on Monday, Aug. 16, from 4:00-6:00.  This is a come-and-go event, so show up at the time that is most convenient for your family.  Football, Band, and Dance students who have practice at that time will receive further instructions from their coach or director about when they will pick up their laptop.
• All students will need to pay $65 for Accidental Damage Protection on School Cash Online.  Or, you may pay a $350 deposit if that works better for you.
• Students must pay their fee by August 12 to receive their device on August 16.  We will have a second laptop distribution after school starts for students who pay after the deadline of August 12.
• Newly enrolled students typically must be enrolled for at least 1 day before their online account is active and you are able to pay fees to get a device.

Returning Klein Cain Students (10th-12th Graders)

• You will keep your laptops from last year.
• All students will need to pay $65 for Accidental Damage Protection on School Cash Online.  Or, you may pay a $350 deposit if that works better for you.
• Whichever fee you choose to pay, it is due no later than October 10.
• If you have any damages or need technical support for your device, you may login to the new Dashboard, click “Klein Weblinks,” and then click “Fujitsu Work Order.”  We will go over this new process more when school starts.
