We are excited to have the 2020-2021 school year underway! As you know, one of the most anticipated Fall events for us is Homecoming and we are happy to announce that most of our Homecoming activities will still be taking place this year, as they have in years past. Klein Cain HS will celebrate Homecoming the week of October 26th – October 30th. Student Council has been working hard behind the scenes to plan our Dress Up Days for the week, as well as other school-spirited activities, such as games and contests, that could possibly win you some cool prizes! We will still have our lunch parade (so get your mini floats ready 😊) and our Pep Rally will be moved outside to accommodate for the need to socially distance and keep each other safe! The outdoor Pep Rally will be attended by Seniors only and it will be livestreamed for all 9th – 11th grade students to watch from their classrooms. The livestream capability will also provide our Klein Online students an opportunity to still get to experience this event as well. The week will culminate at the Football Game on Friday evening, October 30th, where we will take on the Klein Forest Eagles, and recognize this year’s Homecoming Court and celebrate the coronation of our 2020 Klein Cain Homecoming King & Queen during halftime.
Unfortunately, due to current COVID-19 safety protocols in place, and our desire to keep our Hurricane family healthy and safe, we will not be holding a Homecoming Dance or our Lunch Carnival. While we are saddened to not have these 2 events this year, we are still looking forward to an amazing week showcasing our Hurricane spirit and looking forward to seeing all of those extraordinary mums! 😊
Be on the lookout for an announcement from Cain STUCO regarding specific details about the themes for each dress up day and activities planned throughout the week. It will be released very soon!
