Kleb Updates: Week of April 10, 2023

Monday, April 10- Student Holiday

There will be no school for students on Monday, April 10. Classes will resume on Tuesday, April 11.

Student ID badges

Please ensure that your student has their school-issued ID badge and wears it around their neck every day at school. ID badges are required at all times, to get food at breakfast/lunch, to check out books in the library, to participate in school activities and after-school activities. Once a new ID badge/sleeve/lanyard has been requested by a student on Schoology, parents must go onto SchoolCash and pay the fees BEFORE those items can be disbursed to students. All fees must be paid in order to participate in end of year celebration activities.

STAAR Prep: Cash Cab

The STAAR test is quickly approaching! Kleb is hosting its annual STAAR Prep Cash Cab! Students will earn authentic Kleb Cash in their classes while reviewing for STAAR. Teachers will reward for participation, behavior, use of strategies etc. Students will fill out their Kleb Cash and bring it to the cafeteria, during lunch, where they can choose what prize they would like to enter for the raffle. In addition, students have the ability to trade 5 liveschool points for Kleb Cash with Mrs. Laubauch or Ms. Weston ONLY. There will also be some very special Silent Auction Baskets in a display case for students to bid on!

Upcoming STAAR Test

Our campus will be closed to visitors for STAAR Testing April 26, April 27, May 3, and May 4. Please make arrangements for your student to be in attendance and avoid early checkouts or late check-ins for appointments on these days. Additionally, students will leave their Chromebooks and chargers in their testing classrooms the night before each test. Please help us make sure all of our Bearcubs do their best!

End of Year Celebrations

The end of the year is approaching and we will have celebrations and events for students. There will be criteria for all students to meet to participate in the celebrations and events that will be communicated to parents mid-April.
