–Tuesday, 01/31- All 6th and 7th graders’ course selection sheets are due to their grade level counselor
–Tuesday, 01/31- All 8th graders’ course selection sheets and 4-year planning sheets due to grade level office and entry into Skyward is due
–Tuesday, 01/31- There will be a virtual event for the Accelerated College Pathways for all 8th graders from 6:30-7:00 pm; use the link to register and receive the Zoom link
–Tuesday, 01/31- Vistas Early College High School will have a parent informational night 6 – 7pm (8th graders only)
–Friday, 02/03- all Accelerated College Pathways application submissions (for all 8th graders) are due
–Thursday, 02/09- Vistas Early College High School will have a 2nd parent informational night 6 – 7pm (8th graders only)
–Friday, 03/03- Sports Medicine applications submissions are due (all 8th graders)
Science Expo- RESCHEDULED for February 9
Due to inclement weather, the Science Expo has been rescheduled for February 9. “Join us for engaging science experiments presented by Klein High School Science National Honor Society.” Starts immediately after school until 5:30 pm in science lab rooms 223 and 226.

Bearcubs of the Week

Gianna is an amazing CUB She exhibits many of our school characteristics. She is truly a leader in small and big ways and is always striving to learn new material. She does her best, is goal-oriented, and always keeps her eyes on her end goal. Anh is a pathway explorer! She actively pursues excellence by being a positive peer role model, a student that never gives up, and a kind human being. Mylus always works super hard each and every day. He is constantly polite and helpful during class. He is always trying to improve his writing and reading skills. He is grateful, kind, joyful, honest, and selfless. He always looks for the positive in every situation and even when he does not get something in a lesson, he always tries his hardest to check for understanding as well as reach out for help. The characteristics he possesses makes for a great future leader. Nidian has demonstrated success as a forever learner by embracing challenging classwork and asking questions when she needs help. Nidian demonstrates a desire to show success by sticking with her work until she masters it. She is a helper in class and a leader in the hallways. Michael is adaptable, thinks critically, has a healthy sense of self, and is always grateful, kind, joyful, honest and selfless. He is a peer role model and excels academically. The behavior he displays shines through in and out of the classroom. He is a true Bearcub. Alexandra is the perfect picture of a pathway explorer and is tirelessly working to pursue excellence and reach her goals. She is always working in IXL and improving her skills. She is never afraid to ask for help when she needs it, and goes above and beyond to help her classmates and friends. Her positive attitude and work ethic is refreshing and encouraging!

8th GRADE DANCE: An independent group of parents will be organizing an off-campus 8th grade dance. The event is scheduled for May 20th at the Klein Multipurpose Center. TIME TO BUY YOUR YEARBOOKS and 8th GRADE ADS: Yearbooks are on sale NOW through www.balfour.com. 8th grade ads are also on sale through the same website. Deadlines to purchase 8th grade ads is February 17, 2023, and deadline to submit the ad design is February 24, 2023. The deadline to purchase a yearbook is March 31, 2023.
