Kleb Book Fair

Our Kleb Book Fair is finally here! Book Fair will run October 31st-November 4, 2022. Check out our Book Fair Website to add cash to an E-Wallet (so your student does not need to bring cash to school) or shop the online fair with even more great options. We will also be open during our Kleb Literacy Night on November 1st from 6:00-7:30!

Kleb Spelling Bee

Spelling Bee is just around the corner! Classroom spelling bees will take place by October 27th. Each ELA class period will submit 1 representative to compete in our Grade Level Spelling Bee on November 11th (Note this is a change in date to avoid conflict with a field trip on the 10th). After the Grade Level Spelling Bee, 3 final representatives per grade will advance to the Campus Spelling Bee on November 15th. If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Segura at LSegura1@kleinisd.net.

Bearcubs of the Week

Bearcubs of the Week
(left to right) Lucy Hall (6) Noah Sponseller (6), Anne Bruno (7), Ian Majors (7), Sally Salinas (8), Jeremiah White (8)

Lucy is a values driven leader. She is always one of the first to reach out and help others and truly believes in “we not me”. She helps classmates, offers assistance to her teachers, and is an incredibly hard worker. Noah is always demonstrating that he is a equipped scholar by being adaptable to the constant changes he faces, and is always kind, honest, and helpful to his peers as well as his teachers. Noah wants to challenge himself by asking to be moved to the KP class section of ELA, and is always leading his book club in great discussions as well as keeping them on track. Anne is a values-driven leader and takes her academics seriously. She is a true CUB in the classroom and her behavior is that of a model student. Ian is the most polite student I have ever met. He never fails to say “yes, ma’am” to any response I give him to a question he asks. He is an extremely conscientious student, always making sure he has his assignments turned in, and he always has the most positive attitude. He gets along well with his peers and supports others in any way he can. Sally is a Pathway Explorer and a Forever Learner! She is goal-oriented and self-disciplined. Her innovation and creativity is evident in her technical design work. Sally also spent time outside of class typing up scripts for the whole class without being asked. She is a blessing to have in class! Jeremiah has devoted great effort to completing his work and asking questions to make sure he is reaching understanding. He enjoys helping others in class and always displays such positive leadership.

THANKSGIVING PIE DONATIONS NEEDED:
This year, we will gift each teacher and employee at Kleb Intermediate a Thanksgiving pie to express our gratitude for their commitment to our students. We need families to donate store-bought pies so that we can be sure each teacher and employee is recognized. Please use the following link to sign up to donate one or more pies (monetary donations are also accepted): https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70a0e4aaeac2ba20-thanksgiving. Pies should be dropped off at the front of the school on Friday, November 18th between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. so that they may be distributed to the employees before school ends.
